HP Image Zone

  chasboy 10:36 18 Jun 09

I have reinstalled the software on my HP Printer ,
which is a OfficeJet 6210 all in one.
All fine except the Image Zone.
Message states:-
Could not load HP.CUE.Gallery.CommonControls.Ltd
ION.USER Control from assembly hpqmcti, Version etc.
Can anyone help.

It might be worth looking at click here& for latest drivers, patches, or updates, particularly the critical update for HP Director.

Have tried all the above.
No luck still the same.

What OS are you on? the drivers and software that some with the printer were XP and lower but if you are on Vista you need to download the latest version from HP site. I have the same printer installed with XP and Vista.

The Miscrosoft .NET Framework is used by HP software so may need to check that is okay and try a reinstall. Latest MS Updates had a big SP for .Net Framework, but Image Zone on my XP is running fine before and after installing it. Not tried on Vista post update.

Check which version you have by looking in Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. In the list (which should be alphabetic) you will find MicroSoft .Net framework. Which version? 1.0 or later.

Try Downloading new copy of that version from Microsoft site.

Did go to Contro; Panel etc.
Have got MicroSoft.NET framework 3.5 spi.used repair,still the same.
Will reinstall again.

May be simpler to just reload the HP software and then check for HP updates to make sure you have the latest installed.

Thanks for advice.
Contacted HP Customer Care.
Gave me advice. First part did not work.
Sent them attachment of problem, waiting for reply.
In meantime downloaded Image Zone Express, seems to work. Will have to wait and see.

HP software notoriously difficult to uninstall and reinstall.

You need to do an "L3 uninstall" (Google it).
