HP III Printer

Please can anyone remember if an HP III printer will print from a DOS programme and also if you can set the font/lines per page/page orientation on the printer itself. I have a HPIIIp (which is different from HPIII) which is kaput and I desperately need to print from DOS. Can only find a HP III to buy. Do not want to do so unless it has above functions but cannot get clear answer. HP no help at all! If anyone has a surplus working HPIIIp (circa 1991) I would be delighted to trade!

According to this site, click here, it does. Although the site is refering to a brother printer, it states

'for example if you own a Brother HL-1450 printer and you wish to print from a DOS application, look for a HP Laserjet III or Laserjet 4 driver within your DOS software'

Hope this helps.
