HP director script errors

  thewasp 21:54 31 May 06

I have been using HP director for over 2 years without any problems.

Now when I load it it comes up with Internet explorer script errors and will not start. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it with no change.

What's going on?

I used this once and it worked for me - though it was a year or two ago and sorry but can't remember exactly what action.

Ah - I do remember this one, for this script error click here

It's a script to do with the automatic updater, and I had the problem on a few systems. The very first fix was to disable automatic HP updater.

If you post the actual error(s) it may be possible to check further, if you haven't fixed it with the troubleshooter.

Now the HP director doesn't even load!

How do you disable the automatic HP updater?
