My laptop has recently developed a problem with the power light which starts to flash about an hour after I have turned the laptop on. I have ploughed through the manuals but can find no explanation. Is this a warning or indication of a problem? The running of programs is not affected. Can anyone help? Thanks

Flashing led usually indicates a problem with the power supply different number of flashes for each fault (over voltage, overcurrent etc.).

Unfotunately cannot find a sequence list for the HP laptop.

Thanks for your responses. I checked the battery and it has 2.5+ hours of life. I have also bought a new power supply but this has not resolved the problem! What next?

Is there an HP customer help site available by using Google?

I spent a fruitless half hour on the HP help site, after stating the problem, installing activex and a desktop shortcut to the site I was told that I wasn't eligible for the support so I decided to consult the erudite forum members!
