How to utilise clip art CD

I've recently found an old clip art CD of mine at home and wish to re-use it. How do I get a program like Word or PowerPoint to access the data on the CD ? On my old PC, these programs would automatically point to the CD when doing a search for images - how do I get my new PC to point to it ? I don't really want to load the images into my PC Windows Office media file. Thanks in advance.

Depends on a the format of the CD. It might be (probably is?) just be a simple structure of folders and sub-folders containing the images. In which case just use Insert Picture in Word etc. and browse the folders to the image you want to use.

Word might not be the best app for browsing the images in the first place and you might find image / photo manipulation software is better for that.
