Hi. posted yesterday with problem thought it got sorted but its back this morning. The computer takes about 5 mins to go from the initial boot sequence to the xp pro log on screen, and then windows explorer freezes when its loaded.
Someone suggested removing sp2 and i can remember there being a shortcut unistaller file for this.
I need to search for this from the start menu and then run it. Where is it?.
Also could i just put service pack 2 cd in and ask it to repair problems or something?

It is in add/remove programs in the Control panel

Make sure the little box at the top is ticked "Show Updates"

SP2 gets shown without the 'Show Updates' ticked.

It is subsequent "small updates" that are not shown unless the tick is in place.
