How to slow a program load

  global-killer 11:16 24 Jul 11

I have an autoexe program which is loading too fast to see where the temp file is being stored.

This program has a firmware file in it which I am trying to extract without all the auto loader files.

Have tried pause button but my computer is just too fast.

Does any anyone know of a method, or a software program which can help to see where this prog is going to.

Many thanks for any help.

Have you tried Pause/Break button on keyboard?

The 'dirty' method is to use your phone to make a video of what happens on screen.

See if you can see the messages then.

Other sophisticated methods will of course exist.

What program is it? What operating system are you running? That will help for further advice.

The program is just a firmware updater for an MP3 player. No free standing firmware file available, all with the auto loader.

Using win 7 op/sys.

I mentioned I had tried the pause button in first post.
