how do i get a packard bell pc to see a 80Gb hard drive when it is only set to see no more than a 10Gb drive?

Check that your motherboard and Operating System supports drives of that size, if so you may need to look in your BIOS settings. Or just simply partition the drive to the required motherboard recommendations.

also - have you run the autodetect utility in bios - as long as your computer isn't over 7 or 8 years old it should be able to recognise large drives
