I am using Outlook Express and wish to email a scanned document.

My scanner is visioneer Onetouch v3.

When I prepare doc. via the scanne, the finished version is a Paperport version. The receipient does not have Paperport. How do I convert this to a common format?

Thanks
Cara

Try using something like "IrfanView" from click here. Then use the "aquire" option and save teh image as *.jpg or *.bmp

Thanks for replies.

What I am trying to do should be so easy, I am sure, without having to use third party viewers.

I am able to scan to outlook exp. but the attachment is a paperport version rather than a word doc.

If I scan directly to word (to copy and paste)it is a textbridge version (not very good I might add).

So, though the scanned destination is Word, the doc. is not a simple word doc. but a textbridge or paperport doc.

Does this make sense to anyone? How do I simply keep it a word document?

Use the Link button to export to Word. See the manual click here
