How to remove a trojan

The stay-resident part of AVG told me that I have got a tojan (I failed to note the name) in a hidden system folder.

The folder is c:\System Volume Information\_restore{IE .......

and the filename is A0009729.exe

I've manged to get WinXP to display the hidden/system folders, but it won't allow me access to delete this file.

I should add that I've run AVG, NAV, AdAware and Spybot and none of them report a problem.

So I'm puzzled as to how to proceeed.

Have you turned off system restore before scanning? If not, do so then scan again. Enable system restore after the scan.
