HOW TO REMOVE PROGRAM FROM START MENU

hi, I have Windows XP Professional,Pentium III and I want to remowe some programs from start up computer is to be litlle slow but I don't know where to find start menu program's to see what program running on start so please if somebody know post me instructions, thanks.

Start, Run, type in

msconfig

and click OK. Look on the Startup tab.

If you are unsure of what things are, post their names here.

And to add to the above you can stop any and all MS Office items running like Fast Find as this is one of the main culprits of slow down

Should have read your post properly go to start > run then type msconfig click run then go to the start up tab
