How to remove corrupt software?

  jonmaine 12:23 17 Jan 04

I am trying to install a wireless network in the house and it was going fairly well until I tried to get my sons laptop up.
It has had someone attempt to install the software before. I tried to uninstall as it was not working so I could give a fresh install but it pretends to un-install and thats as far as it goes a message pops up at some point saying it is corrupted. I tried searching file names and getting rid of them directly but that has not worked either. Add and remove programs does not work either.
Any suggestions how to exhume the dead files and remove?

If you have XP, you could try system restore.

Has the registry also been cleaned, in case any traces are there?
