How to reinstall Installer on w2k

I'm having probs installing progs; ie windows installer patch package error. I've run sfc, and if nothing else I'll have to 'repair'. Is there an easy way to reinstall installer 1st.

You could download the installer (and reinstall!) from click here

Thanks for the link beeuuem. I replaced installer but still can't reinstall FP2000 and I've done a repair to w2k but still getting the error.

This may help, not guaranteed though :-

1. Open a CMD window

2. Type msiexec /unregister (note the space) and press Enter.

3. Type msiexec /regserver (note the space) and press Enter.

I tried those commands and still no go, but thanks anyway.

The auto start doesn't work on just FP2000 and when I use Run I get this error. 'This patch package could not be opened. verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.'

BTW it's a pucker copy of FP2000.
