How can I copy a DVD to my hard drive so that I can click on it and it will run as I want to put it into a powerpoint presentation. Thanks.

You need to rip the DVD to a video format such as AVI / flash / quicktime / mpeg, and then perhaps edit it to include only the bits you need. In my experience, mpegs are the easiest to use in PowerPoint.

Search Google for DVD ripping and video editing software. You may be able to use Windows Movie Maker.
