700Ghz?

Ask for about 7 million quid.

200quid tops.

Judging by the price of new computers and a quick scan through Trade-It, I would say £275 and accept £230.

It's worth exactly what anyone is prepared to pay you for it. Most people selling something always think it is worth more than in reality.

Have a look through local newspaper classified advertisements or similar computer related weekly products; this will give you an idea of what popele are asking for similar systems.

I agree with GANDALF <|:-)> but you also mention 98se, if that is the full CD and not a restore disk then it's worth a bit more, say £295 and be prepared to drop to £250

This will give you a fair return for your money and a good buy for someone. j.

If it is any help, I bought a PII 650 with 256 RAM, 32mb graphics, Win98 full CD, onboard sound, dvd-rom, 56k modem, NIC, giga-byte mobo for £110 during the summer.

Your extras like the 17in monitor, cd-rw (what speed?) soundblaster card, speakers (what speakers?) and printer might be worth another hundred or so.

  Diodorus Siculus 15:22 15 Nov 03

By the way, what size is the hard disk?

i have the full CD of win98se. the speed of the cd rw is something like 20-24-20 cant exactly emember, but if got the box somewhere. the hard drive is 20gig, and the speakers are cambridge soundworks.

Well, for £250 I think someone will get themselves a bargain; it is perfect for office work / internet browsing / dvd watching / even some gaming.

But it all depends on finding someone to buy the machine.
