Windows XP
Office 2003

@ the moment I have 512ddrRam of memory and was thinking of adding another 512ddr.

So the question is would I see any real improvement in the speed and/or the smooth running of my PC.

Or would I be just wasting my time?

Other thing is I was looking @ a HP1010 Laser Printer. Any comments on laser printers? Or this printer?

The more memory the better, is the usual rule.

I generally find that a Google review search reveals many interesting points on printers and other computer related items.Place like click here usually come up with some good prices on any final selections.

Depends on what you doing with it? If your noticing slowdown then yes.

In the mainstreem of things 512 is enough for the average Joe, I would'nt buy it for the sake of it as only highly resource intensive activitys 3D gaming, Video Editing etc will notice any real performance difference.
