how to hide folder thumbnails when burning?

I am backing up folders. all of these folders use some of my own created imagery (as the folders own thumbnail, to indicate what it contains). when adding these complete folders to a disc to burn (ashampoo), hidden files appear as a result, eg :-

thumbs.db
folder.jpg

these files should be hidden, so how do I burn these to a cd or dvd without them showing? is it possible-do I need a particular burning program to do it? ps in windows "do not show hidden files and folders" is already selected", so I dont know what else I can do. thanks for any info!
