In w2k every time you type a url some previously entered ones show. Is there somehow these can be deleted. Is it in registry? (it's not in ie).

It's in my version of IE (6) running Win2k.

After clearing history, go to

internet options

auto complete

untick webaddresses

That stops others from appearing when you go to type one in.

There is a programme out there (freeware) called "EDIT URLS". You have to make sure that you have come out of explorer first, it then brings up the entire list as displayed within explorer and lets you edit or delete individual items.

If you go to Tools>Options and then General tab, you will see History at the bottom of the page.

You can clear previous URL history from here and alter the length of time you wish them to be retained.
