how to get OE to notify me of e-mail

there used to be a way of getting outlook express to notify you of any new e-mails from the taskbar is this poddible or have i drempt this.

if so how please

as i will be always connected online and i would rather this notifiacation popup and tell me of new mail without me checking OE

i have set OE to check for mail every 5 minutes

will this do that automatically

It's poddible to get it to play a sound - look in Tools/Options.

If you set it to check every X minutes then it will do just that and you do not have to do anything else.

I think if OE is open and mimimised it will check for mail as set up and any new mail will show up as an envelope in the system tray.

I have also set mine up to play sound as well.

In IE go to tools >options >general tab and check the box. If you don't want the windows default sound go to Control Panel >sound and audio devices> sounds tab select the program event "new mail notification" nad then browse to the sound you want.
