Hello,

I just read your recent article on getting 2560x1440 resolution on an external display from a laptop using an HDMI cable.

I have executed the steps you recommended but I still don't see 2560x1440 as an option in the screen resolution panel.

Here are my system details:

  • Sony Vaio SVS151190S) Windows 7 Home Premium
  • External monitor: NEC PA272W (connected to the laptop via high quality HDMI cable)
  • NVIDIA geForce GT 640M LE card (driver version 347.09)
  • Intel(R)HD Graphics 4000 (driver version 8.15.10.2712)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Susan
