Snce downloading new ATi catalyst driver I now get a cli.exe message at startup. How does one get rid of this please.

Type msconfig then go to startup tab

Is anything of a similar ilk showing?

Don't change anything at this stage.

Do you have windows fully updated?

You need to have all the .NET framework versions installed, both version 1 and version 2

The new Catalyst control centre needs both versions to work properly....this is probably why you get the CLI.exe message.

How does one check to see ifall the .NET Framework versions have been installed please?

"How does one check to see ifall the .NET Framework versions have been installed please?"

Open Add/Remove programs and scroll down the should see Microsoft .NET framework 1.1, Microsoft .NET framework Hotfix and Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 listed there.

As an alternative go back to the Catalyst 5.10 drivers and use the basic control panel version instead of the Catalyst Control Centre.
