How does one re-write over existing material on a RW CD or Flash Stick. Do you have to delete first?
Any help would be appreciated

You can write over existing material, but it may be better to format first.

To rewrite flashstick go to My computer in Windows pick the removeable drive relating to the flashdrive
right click and delete items no longer required, you do not have to delete files on the flash stick if there is room to add what is needed, you can keep adding to it until full.
The cdrw disk is best rewritten or erased using a cd burning program such as NERO, ASHAMPOO BURNING 6 FREE OR CD BURNER ,the rewrite part is usually in the extras section,
