How do you do a 'tick'

Hi all. I want to make a comment on facebook and include a tick symbol.

How do I?

Go to Character Map and choose Wingdings and copy the tick shown in there.

I have character map now. I tried selecting the character and right click copy then paste.

All I get is an 'a' ;-(

What am I doing wrong?

You have to jiggle the Alt Gr key [to right of space bar]like you do to get € or any other 3rd charater

I think the problem lies in you not being able to change the font on the face book page. I think it needs to be in Wingdings for that particular character. I have no idea how you do that!!

As a matter of interest, if you press the ALT key and 0252 you will also get a tick in say a word Document or Excel, but you would need to have the font for that character changed to Wingdings.

Font = Wingdings 2 (not Wingdings). Then press the caps shift and the letter P.
