How do you avoid "click here"?

  Pineman100 17:22 20 May 09

Once or twice, when replying to questions on this forum, I have wanted to show people a URL that they should type into their computer. Today, for example, I was trying to explain to someone how to change their browser home page, and I had to resort to a tortuous method, using the word "dot" instead of "."

Is there a trick to including a URL in a post without triggering the "click here" shortcut?

Try using spaces (hope this works!)

www .

rawprawn - thanks for that. I wanted to avoid doign so, because I suspect that the poster wasn't very experienced, and might not understand.

VoG™ - clearly it does work! Many thanks - that's obviously the way to go. It's easy to add "(without the spaces)".

Thanks to both.
