how do iremove photo from computer

hi i have just go a second hand pc running windos me. but when i right click on my computer and go to properties theres a photo of the famliy i got the pc from. is there a way i can move this photo.thanks

Delete the file with file with the name oemlogo.bmp in Windows' System folder (or System32 for Win NT or 2000).

Or maybe if you go to the menu and choose view-select customise this folder and choose remove customisation in the grey box that comes up.

thanks Jester2K II and canard just one more thing i have spoted that there famly neme shows up on the windows splash screen when i start the pc up is there a way of romoveing from the splash screen. thanks

Best thing to do is to format the hard disk and start from afresh. You're going to find bits of the previous owner everywhere.

The start up screen is called logo.sys, do a search for it, and rename it to oldlogo.sys, see if that gets rid of it for you. If anything goes wrong, rename it back to logo.sys.
