go to the motherboard's manufacturer website

Award Bios updates aren't free and they are not handled by the manufacturer, they have been farmed out to a 3rd party. They will offer you a 'chip upgrade' almost for the same price as a software upgrade.

This is the link to Phoenix, which took over Award, where you'll find info etc on Award's Bios product:

Hi sobeitjedi. From the BIOS number I was able to identify the motherboard make and model.

2A5LEF09C

The 2A5LE tells me that the chipset is VIA Apollo (M)VP3. The FO tells me that the motherboard is by FIC, and that it is a Fic VA503 or Fic PA-2012 or FIC VA-503+ or FIC PA-2013 click here.

With this information I went to the FIC site and found that you can download BIOS software as well as a load of other useful information. click here
