Hi all, I'm off to a friends dads to check out his HD so I thought I'd format and scandisk/chkdsk a few floppy discs to take with me so that I could download the HD diagnostic programme from the makers website once I was on his pc.

As I'd got a few old floppy disks I want to use them for the job, I've formatted them and I'd like to check them out for any bad sectors. After the format there was no list showing space available/ bad sectors etc...so how can I check for them using XP?

Thanks for all help given,

Mike
