Create a folder on the desktop or in my docs, open outlook express/tools/options maintenance/store folder/change and browse to the newly created folder, say ok, restart express and it will load all express folders to the new folder, you can then save it easily. Also with email settings and address book you can export them to the new folder.

Hi jimv7 I have used your suggestion but how do I restore the saved e-mail folders back into OE. When I click to open then I have to specify a program non of which work. Help

You need to select File/Import - then choose OE6 database/files/messages (sorry, a bit rusty with OE, I don't use it much) - then navigate to the folder containing the .dbx files you exported.

File, Import, Messages, Outlook Express 6, Select Import Mail from Store Directory, Browse to your backed up files.

NOTE: If these files are on a CD you MUST copy them to a folder on your PC and remove the Read Only Tags (Right click the files and uncheck Read Only) or it will fail to import the messages.

Do the reverse, open outlook express/tools/options maintenance/store folder/change and browse to the saved folder and click ok.
