How do I remove Messenger Service spyware popups

I keep getting "Messenger Service" pop ups which tell me I have spyware on my PC. I have tried removing with Ad Aware and Spybot but the messages keep telling me to go ont different websites and download their removal tools. the sites are

I have started in safe mode and run the adaware and spybot which seems to work for a while but I feel I have something imbedded which reactivates them.
Any suggestions

Have you installed SP2 yet??? If you install this, then they will go, but you can stop them manually!!!

Delete MSN Messenger, go to Start, Run and type.
