how do i remove icons from the control panel in xp

i uninstalled norton security from my pc as it came pre installed and i only had a six month trial.i used the add remove programs way but this has left behind symantec live update in the control panel.how do i remove this and any other traces of norton.i now have a new virus program and firewall installed and i dont want any conflicts.thanks.

The easiest and safest way is to use Tweakui. Part of Powertoys for Windows XP - a free download. The other way is a registry edit.

Just search for .cpl and delete those not required.
