How do I prevent tech savvy teenager accessing Internet throughout night?

I have a Virgin SuperHub in modem mode and an Asus RT-AT68U router. My son cannot resist the temptation to stay up into the early hours accessing the Internet.

I have tried using IP authentication to lock him out between certain hours, however he just changes his device IP. He knows how to spoof MAC addresses so this won't work either.

I now have to log into the control panel and switch off the WAN. This prevents everyone from accessing the Internet and sometimes I forget.

I have tried the 'being a better parent' approach and clearly am failing on this front. Any ideas on how I can use tech to compensate for the missing self-discipline? Can I create logins that can be linked to hours of usage?

See if this helps at all.
