I have a folder on my PC that contains personal information, I was wondering is there a way of making the folder/file private so that only me would be able to read it, for example putting a password on to the file/folder.

If you have Winzip, you can set a password for the file.

If you use a password on your Windows User Account (which is quite sensible for all accounts, including the hidden Administrator account) then you only need to enable folder privacy in the properties of the folder in question (provided it is a user folder such as My Docs or My Pictures, not a system folder)

That will be sufficient to keep the contents private from other users of your PC, provided you lock your desktop if the PC is unattended (Windows key + L)
