hi all

My bro has just got a wireless router. what does he need to attach to his desktop to enable him to go wireless?

I use a laptop with all my wireless kit built in, not sure what he should use on a desktop PC

is it something like a wireless card.... or something like that???

can anyone recommend a specific piece of equipment??

he has the router and microfilters and everything associated with wireless, the missing piece is what is connected to the desktop???

thanks

You can get generic wireless PCI cards but sometimes it may be good to match the router if it has specific features that you want. i.e. turbo mode. What router is it? Some people use a USB connection via a dongle instead of a PCI card
