How do I load SATA driver without floppy drive

I need to reload Windows on to an HP nx7300 laptop, which has a SATA hard drive and NO floppy drive. To load Windows I need to press F6 and then load the SATA drivers before it will see the disk drive, but it will only load these from A:. How do I get round this?

I don't have access to a USB Floppy Drive, and I only have a standard XP Professional CD. I don't have a recovery CD and there is no saved / hidden partition on the hard disk?

Please help.

Many thanks in advance

Thanks for your help.

Beta. I tried your suggesting first and it worked. Once SATA Native mode was disabled in the BIOS I was able to load XP. I assume that this will have to stay off for ever more now?

One of the other helpers might follow up, but once windows is loaded, can't the SATA driver be installed and then the BIOS fix be restored?

Yes it can, 100andthirty, it's not just a case of installing the SATA drivers though. click here
