Hi everyone, I am abou to purchase a USB hub for my windows xp home sp2 machine which is nearly three years old. It says the hub is for 1.1 USB slots, but I don't know what my comp has, I know it's not USB 2.0

How would I find out in the next half an hour, I want to go shopping!!!

Thanks for any help in advance, Rhuddlan

If any of your serial bus controlers have "enhanced" in the title these ones are usb 2
if they havent they are usb 1.

well if your PC is 3yrs old...I would imagine its USB 2.0 cos 1.1 was first introduced in the days of Windows 98/ME and seeing Win XP has been around for 4-5yrs thats when USB 2.0 must have come in...but check anyway...

Well I have an i pod and when I connected this device to the comp, it told me it can transfer songs at a faster rate with USB 2.0 and when it scanned my comp for USB 2.0 it said I didn't have any of these ports, thanks guys, now i'm off shopping!!!

Many thanks, Rhuddlan
