I've downloaded Linux Mint Cinnamon onto a 16Gig SDHC Card but don't know how to install it on my Acer Aspire One ZG5.

Laptop currently running Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.7.E

No CD drive on laptop.

Can anybody help?

If you mount the SDHC card in a USB adapter and copy the iso image to a PC then use

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Windows version utility to create a bootable version on the SDHC card

Next you need to figure out the setting on your laptop to get it to boot from USB

Once you get it to boot up to Linux mint with a bit of luck it will offer you the option to install it on the Acer, if not try the Linux Mint Forums for the command line method to install it

Hi,

I created the bootable version on a USB stick. Booted up and installed Mint. It said all had gone well and I should reboot, removing any installation media before I did. But when the laptop boots up all I get is a flashing cursor on a black screen. This has hapened twice.

Any idea what the problem is?

Thanks.
