I have happily edited video since the days of Betamax, for the last ten years it has been miniDV. Now I have a nice new camera that records to an SD/SDHC card. The for mat though is MPEG4- H264.
My editng programs do not appear to have a H264 codec.
I have ULead Video Studio9, no longer supported by Corel, Roxio Media Creator 8, and of course MS Windows Movie Maker. All keep demanding this codec. The same applies to some of the viewers.
The camera is good, the software that came with it is crap with zero editing facilities.
All suggestions gratefully received. and after Xmas a solution is going to become desperate.
My new camera records at 30fps, my TV etc are 25fps, what sort of problem have I let myself into there?
