How do I get 1440 x 900 resolution ?

Hi

I've just bought a new Compaq 2149 pc with a Samsung 19" widescreen monitor.

I've looked on the settings screen and I have no option to get the resolution up to 1440 x 900 - best WS I have available is 1280 x 800, which looks a bit nasty !

I have a rather odd graphics card - Nvidia GeForce 7500 LE, which I will replace when funds allow, but until then any idea how I can get the resolution up to a decent quality ?

Thanks

Try control panel ,display, settings.Move the slider to the settings you want and press apply. If that does not do it you have to go into advanced and change it from there.

Have you tried Device Manager to see if there are any problems,Or try and up-date the driver while you are in there.

If buteman's suggestion doesn't work, try updating to the latest graphics drivers click here. G

Thanks all - I updated the drivers and that did the trick.

Top advice as always, and much appreciated
