I wish to format my USB memorystick in NTFS supplied software is FAT32. XP will only format FAT 32. Query on Googe indicated that it can't be done in XP but can be done on Windows 2000. Can it be done in XP and if so how?. Thanks

There is another way.

In My Computer right click on any drive and choose properties.

Select Hardware tab.

Highlight the USB device and click properties button.

Select Policies and change the setting from "Optimise for quick removal" to "Optimse for performance"

OK all.

Now when you go to Format NTFS will be an option.

You must remove the device through the green arrow in Task bar to ensure all writes have been made.
