How do I export favourites as a text file

I would like to export my IE6 favourites as a text file or spreadsheet so that I can add free-text narrative to the favourites explaining the content of the web link. CAn anyone help please?

Export your Favourites as normal to a .htm file then double click that file to open it in IE. Now go to File, Save As, and choose Text File in the "Save as type" box.

That's a much better way Diodorus Siculus. My method doesn't save the URL, only the name.

Sorry but I cant follow the instructions in click here. Should I export the favourites as usual then insert into Word? What is the RSS write referred to?
