How do I dump the >>> in Outlook forwarding

  davehyde 18:27 24 Jan 03

When I select a message to forward in Outlook Express, it sticks load of >'s in the front of every line.

I don't need this (on new XP PC - my old one on 95 didn't do it)

There must be an option to deselect this.

Can anyone tell me where?

Can be found here:

Click the 'Send' tab

In the section marked 'Mail sending format' click on 'Plain text settings' and remove the tick from "Indent the original text with" (or alter it to one of the other options).

Means one less utility in my folder. I wonder why this fix was never mentioned before by anyone?

I think I've given it at least 3 times before (when asked).

Nice easy fix!
