How do I delete a password in Microsoft Word ?

Hello experts !

A few days ago I set up a password for a Microsoft Document and I don't need it anymore so I would like to delete it. How do I do it ? Thanks in advance for your help, all the best, Antonio.

In Word 2007

1. Use the password to open the document.

2. Click the Microsoft Office Button , point to Prepare, and then click Encrypt Document.

3. In the Encrypt Document dialogue box, in the Password box, delete the encrypted password, and then click OK.

4. Save the file.

Or in Word 2003

Use the password to open the document

File menu - Save As

Click Tools menu and select Security Options

Clear the "Password to open" box and click OK.

Forgot to add - when you close the document remember to Save the changes.
