Hi all.

I recently did a recovery for XP on my laptop.

I allowed it to create a backup of documents & settings which I can't now deleat.

I decided not to re-install all the programs as I have a new desktop pc with everything I need. The laptop will only be used for photos, music & internet access whilst we're away in the motorhome.

I moved all the documents I wanted but left the rest alone. Problem is now I can't deleat the backup folder (6GB), it keeps coming up with a message saying 'cannot deleat update. Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and the file is not currently in use'.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of it please?

Thanks in advance & Merry Christmas to everyone.

Is this safe though?

I get warnings on all the sites to download from.

Perfectly safe - I've used it myself.

Thanks, downloaded it, installed it and it's deleted the folder on reboot with no problems.

May uninstall it and delete the install file, still not sure about all those warnings!

All the best for Christmas and the new year.
