How do I customize my folder?

When I click on customize folder it tells me that the folder is either marked as read only or my system administrator has disabled this functionality. I have no system admin and is not marked as read only. Sometimes this option does not even appear. I have a win 98 SE operating system with a pentium 2. Help!

Can you help?

You can normally try using 'appearance' to change a folder icon (right mouse click) but My Documents is a system 'folder' and when you try that option it will show the changed icon but will not 'do the deed'. SORRY
