How do I copy a videotape to cd or dvd?

I have some family video tapes which are beginning to wear out. How can I make a copy of them?
I have a VCR, a camcorder & dvd rewriter. I thought I could play the video through the camcorder (while recording) but there is no line out on the vcr. Does such a thing exist?

Any ideas gratefully received.

Fick, it is most unusual not to have a line out on a vcr. (phono or scart)

You have to connect the vcr to you computer via a suitable graphics card. Record the video and sound to your hard drive via suitable software and then burn it to a cd or dvd again via suitable software.

Well yes, I have audio out and scart, but then where do I plug the other end in? Do I need to get a scart converter?

I think I just answered my own question. Thank you Pamy for pointing out the obvious.
