How do i copy a video dvd with Nero?

I've spent the last three hours trying to use Nero to carry out what seems a simple task. Crikey there are so many options I want to scream!

My laptop has one disc drive so I assume that I have to copy it to the hard drive first? I'm ready to throw the thing out of the window. I have Nero Essentials and there is no copyright on the DVD.

Sorry it was accidental.

Put DVD to be copied into drive.

Open Nero Express.

Click on the icon Image,project,copy.

Select Copy Entire DVD you should find the source drive and destination drive are the same.

Select copy.

Nero will now copy the DVD to a temporary file. when completed it will ask you to insert a blank disk into the drive.
