how do i controll my bandwidth

hi there i have 8mn broadband and i come home from work and all 3 pc are online and my sons xbox 360 and my connection is so slow it dosent feel like broadband. is there any software to controll the bandwidth so i can have a good speed.

First, try getting rid of son and his xbox or charge him by the hour for using Your b'band, if he doesn't have earnings or pocket money deduct it from the food that you would have bought for him :-)
Secondly even though the pc's are on-line, I wouldn't have expected them to use bandwidth unless they are down or up-loading data. If you switch 2 off, does your speed increase? I have 2 pc's and I don't notice a speed decrease.
