How do I connect two printers to one computer?

1)I currently use an inkjet printer connected via a USB port. Would it be possible to install a laser printer through my parallel port while keeping the inkjet connected i.e. could I set them up so that I just select the required printer in the print dialog box?
2)Another possibility might be for me to reconnect my inkjet via a parallel cable and buy a switch (although I suppose that would cost about £10), but I guess the inkjet would be slower using a parallel link.
3)Maybe a third possibility would be for me to buy a USB laser printer and have two USB printers connected at once. Would this work?

I have a dot-matix on parallel and ink-jet on USB.

I have had 2 on parallel with a switch on an old 3.11 PC.

Multiple USB printers are no problem at all.

I think your Laser would work better/faster on USB, but if it's only a parallel, then connect it that way.
