How do I change Boot up to CD on an Asus A7V333

  Cloggsy 10:29 13 Nov 03

How the bloody hell do I get this 'thing' to boot from CD instead of floppy?

Please help - I'm trying a new install of XP Pro (& struggling)

Have you gone into the BIOS (setup) at startup and changed the boot order to CD first?

When starting you should see a message line Press Del to Enter Setup.

I have gone into the bios & had a look... Even had a little play about, but to no avail... Can you advise me where & what to change?

I presume it'll be in the 'Boot' section?

Sorry to sound 'thick' ;o)

"I presume it'll be in the 'Boot' section?"

yes, I should have thought so. Does it say anything about boot order such as fdd/ide1/ide2 etc?

I have the same board - go into the bios, under the boot section, highlight CD-ROM from the list (it should give make and model of your drive) and press the '+' key until the CD-ROM drive is situated at the top of the list, i.e. the first boot device.
