I've downloaded a movie file from the internet and the file type is an ASF (not sure what this means) I want to create a Video CD from this file but I use Nero V5 and it displays a message saying asf is invalid need MPEG 2 which was encoded for Super Video CD. What does this mean and how do I get this download onto a VCD?

It basically means that if you want to record a CD to be played in a DVD player then the original file format has to be in MPG (or is it MPEG) format.

The only way I know of how to do this is to use a converter program. I actually use an AVI to MPG coder but I've never heard of an ASF to MPG coder.

I can only suggest doing a search on the Internet.

Only problem I've found, is with the quality, once the conversions taken place - it's usually rubbish (unwatchable) !
